Cinema 2009 is an independently produced montage showcasing films made in 2009. It is a follow-up to Cinema 2008 and received global success thanks to various websites like /Film, JoBlo, First Showing and Film School Rejects. It was also shown during a convention of the Dutch Film Distributors Association. The Cinema series continued with Cinema 2010 in December 2010.
